Hilda Baci Bags Guinness World Records

Nigerian culinary star Hilda Effiong Baci has once again cooked her way into global headlines, this time, with official recognition in hand. The celebrated chef recently received her Guinness World Record plaques, honoring her jaw-dropping 93-hour cooking marathon in Lagos back in 2023, and her record-breaking feat on September 12, 2025, where she prepared a massive 8,780 kilograms of jollof rice at the Gino World Jollof Festival.
The jollof spectacle was no small kitchen affair, powered by 1,200 kilograms of gas and dishing out enough servings for over 16,000 plates, it cemented Baci’s place as one of Nigeria’s proudest culinary ambassadors.
Speaking on her double recognition, Hilda credited her faith, her ever-loyal team, and her ability to balance the chaos of running a restaurant and creating digital food content, all while making history.
From stirring pots to breaking records, it’s safe to say Hilda Baci isn’t just serving meals, she’s serving milestones.
