Nigerian blogger and entertainer Tunde Ednut has officially become a citizen of the United States. He shared the news on May 12, 2025, via his Instagram page, posting photos of himself holding his new U.S. passport and standing before the American flag.

In addition to his citizenship, Ednut received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, signed by former U.S. President Joe Biden. This award recognizes individuals who have dedicated over 4,000 hours of volunteer service to their communities.

The announcement was met with congratulations from fans and celebrities, including Davido, Tiwa Savage, Ini Edo Kidwaya, and many more.

This milestone adds to Ednut’s earlier recognition in January 2025, when he received a Certificate of Recognition from Prince George’s County, Maryland, for his contributions to the African diaspora community.
