Champions League Semis Preview: Arsenal vs PSG

The Champion’s League is approaching its climax, and tonight’s first leg of the semi-final promises fireworks as Arsenal welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Emirates.
Arsenal: Redemption Tour Continues
It’s been a long time coming, but Arsenal fans finally have something to sing about in Europe. After years of European heartache, they’ve turned the tide with a statement quarter-final win over 15-time kings Real Madrid. Mikel Arteta’s side have only tasted defeat once this campaign against Inter Milan and with the likes of Mikel Merino and Ben White back from injury, the Gunners are reloading for another big night.
They’ve already beaten PSG once this season back in October, two goals sealed by Havertz and Saka and are hoping for a repeat. The only dark cloud is the suspension of midfield engine Thomas Partey, whose presence will be sorely missed after his brilliance against Madrid.
PSG: The Post-Mbappe Era
You’d think losing Mbappé to Madrid would derail PSG’s ambitions. Think again. Ousmane Dembele has found his wings, and new signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is showing Parisians that life after Kylian isn’t so bleak. Luis Enrique’s men just wrapped up another Ligue 1 title and brushed past a tough Aston Villa in the quarters.
While Arsenal might look to dominate possession, PSG will be more than happy to sit back, soak up the pressure, and hit back with their deadly counter-attack.
