Nigeria is known to be a fun place with positive vibes and unforgettable moments. Sometimes it is displayed in movies, reality shows, and sports while other times it is our gbedu.

Afrobeat has been influential across the globe with the likes of Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, and Davido and now Tems constantly raising the bar in the music scene. No wonder international artists are fond of collaborating with Afrobeat stars.

As a hub for entertainment, the country has witnessed some international acts perform on its big stage whether for a brand’s event or a concert.

Roddy Rich

The Grammy award-winning global superstar gave a Steller performance when he visited Lagos, Nigeria, for the Coca-Cola rhythm unplugged back in 2023. The event which took place at the Eko convention center was smooth, effortless, and packed with the kind of energy that gets the crowd going. Fans who have been vibing to his hit single ‘The Box’ finally got to see their fave in action.

Cardi B

Cardi B completely dominated the scene when she made her debut in Lagos for the Livespot X Festival. From the moment the Grammy-winning rapper hit the stage, it was obvious that this wasn’t just a concert it was an unforgettable experience. Held at Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island, the show became one of the most iconic events in recent memory, leaving the crowd buzzing long after the lights went down.

Lil Baby

Lil Baby’s rise to fame back in 2018 was explosive and when he came through to Nigeria, he showed exactly why he named his album ‘My Turn’. For those who relate to Lil Baby’s come-up story and lyrics his performance at the Beat FM Xmas concert in 2018 was everything. It was one of those nights where everyone in the crowd felt part of something, especially when his hit records ‘Drip Too Hard’ and ‘Yes Indeed’ were played.

Migos

The Culture trio brought their Atlanta vibes to Lagos for the Beat FM Christmas party and the crowd couldn’t get enough of the energy. The performance was lit from start to finish especially when they performed their hit record Bad and Boujee which their fans knew each lyric word for word.

J Cole

J Cole’s visit to Nigeria back in 2018 at the Eko Hotel and Suites was nothing short of legendary. The Dreamville boss didn’t need to look flashy or dripped out to be able to connect with his fans as his lyrics did all the talking. The show which was hosted by Castle Lite unlocks was a breath of fresh air as he was surprised that fans were singing along to the then-released album ‘KOD’. He made sure to remind us that sometimes, it’s the quiet storms that leave the most lasting impact.
