Ruth Otabor, younger sister of BBNaija Season 7 winner Phyna, has died from injuries sustained in a crash involving a Dangote-linked truck near Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State. The 22-year-old, who had just graduated days before the incident, passed away on August 31 after battling complications from her injuries.
Her right leg was amputated following the accident, sparking public outcry over road safety and corporate accountability. The Dangote Group had pledged medical support and arrangements for treatment abroad, but Ruth sadly didn’t survive.
The Otabor family, now in mourning, has requested privacy, while Nigerians continue to demand safer roads and better emergency response systems.
