Pep set to stay at Manchester City for one more season

Pep Guardiola is about to sign a one-year contract extension with Manchester City, keeping him as manager until 2026. His current deal was set to end soon, and there were questions about his future after winning four straight Premier League titles. The extension will last until 2026, with an option for 2027. The club hasn’t confirmed this yet, but an announcement is expected soon.
Guardiola, 53, was considered for the England manager job but will stay at City for his 10th season. Since joining in 2016, he’s led City to six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, and their first Champions League. Guardiola has said his love for the club is “deep in his bones” after fans showed support for him staying.
Currently, City is second in the Premier League, five points behind Liverpool, and on a four-game losing streak, which is unusual for Guardiola. Also, Txiki Begiristain, who helped bring Guardiola to City, will leave his director of football role at the end of the season.
