Apple just threw a lifeline to everyone double-dipping between Spotify and Apple Music. For years, juggling playlists across both apps has been like carrying two phones, messy, clunky, and never quite in sync. Now, Apple has rolled out a feature that lets you transfer your playlists, saved songs, and albums from Spotify straight into Apple Music, no hacks required.

The update quietly debuted in Australia and New Zealand, and it’s already live-in bigger markets like the U.S., U.K., Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, and Mexico. With just a few taps in Apple Music settings, “Transfer Music from Other Services”, your Spotify collections slide neatly into your Apple library. Apple tapped SongShift to power it behind the scenes, so the transfer is quick and reliable, with only the odd song needing manual matching.

For users who keep both subscriptions, maybe you love Spotify’s playlists but prefer Apple’s ecosystem, this is a real win. It means your library doesn’t have to live in two places anymore, and switching between platforms is finally seamless. And since Apple is clearly rolling it out in waves, it’s only a matter of time before the feature lands everywhere Apple Music is available.

Playlist juggling? Consider it handled.
