Ogun Govt Set to Prosecute DJ Chicken After Series of Reckless Road Incidents

The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has announced that it will prosecute TikTok creator and social media personality DJ Chicken after what it describes as a worrying pattern of road-traffic incidents.

On November 1, 2025, the Ministry says DJ Chicken caused a collision in Sagamu, Ogun State, where he allegedly crashed into two motorcycles, injuring the rider and a female passenger. Witnesses reported he attempted to leave the scene, drawing the anger of passersby. Barely three weeks later, on November 23, he was involved in another crash in the Lekki area of Lagos State, this time a solo-vehicle incident that nearly endangered pedestrians.

According to the statement, those two incidents are part of at least three crashes within two months, raising concerns about “reckless driving” and public safety. The Ministry emphasises that while many traffic accidents are resolved civilly (via compensation, insurance, etc.), the repeated nature of these incidents means this case qualifies for criminal prosecution.

The Director of Public Prosecutions, the Attorney-General, and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade SAN, have directed that the Sagamu crash case be fast-tracked for arraignment, in collaboration with the Ogun State Police Command.
