The internet is buzzing after a surprising DM exchange between Afrobeats superstar Davido and an X (Twitter) user, Dr Fab (@Tufab), made its way to the timeline.

Dr Fab dropped screenshots of his private convo with Davido, pairing it with a lengthy disclaimer where he distanced himself from any cult or fraternity, stressing his faith in God and even quoting Psalm 91:2. In his words:

“I’m bringing this to the general public as a disclaimer against my personality. First of all let me say I am not affiliated with any cult or fraternity and I don’t have a problem with anyone who is, because they are who they are and I’m who I am… I’m an army of God and chosen one of Christ. God is my fortress. Psalm 91 vs 2…”

The screenshots show Davido allegedly sending multiple warnings, with lines like “I dey warn u,” “Make we play d game,” and the now-viral statement: “My name is not Osakpolo, I’m warning u.”

Dr Fab responded by insisting he’s never insulted or disrespected Davido, even pointing out that his messages of praise often get ignored. Still, the tension in the exchange was impossible to miss.

And here’s where it gets juicy: the name “Osakpolo” didn’t just drop out of nowhere. Back in 2024, during the peak of Wizkid and Davido’s feud, Wizkid first threw the jab online, mocking Davido by using the name as slang for someone who takes “cheap deals.” It stuck, and fans kept it alive as another tool in the long-running fan wars.

So, for Davido to be shutting it down directly in his DMs now? That’s a statement. It shows he’s not brushing it off, not turning the other cheek, and definitely not in the mood to play “bigger person” with anyone still pushing that narrative.

The message is loud and clear: Davido is done with the “Osakpolo” tag, publicly or privately.
