Ademola Lookman, the 27-year-old Nigerian forward currently starring at Atalanta, has officially submitted a transfer request as of August 3, 2025, citing months of “broken promises” and feeling mistreated by the club’s leadership.
Lookman insists he had an understanding with Atalanta’s hierarchy that he would be allowed to leave if a suitable offer came in, but now claims the club is reneging on that agreement despite an offer that matches what had been discussed. Atalanta reportedly values him at €45–50 million and has rejected bids from Inter Milan, the latest being around €40–45 million, structured as a loan with an obligation to buy. That was deemed too low by the club.
