It was one of those classic Anfield nights, the lights, the chants, and a little dose of drama. Liverpool edged out Real Madrid with a 1-0 victory, thanks to a well-timed header from Alexis Mac Allister that sealed all three points and pushed the Reds into the Champions League’s top eight.
Arne Slot’s men looked sharp and hungry from the first whistle, pressing with intent and keeping Madrid on their heels for much of the game.
But perhaps the loudest reaction of the night came when Trent Alexander-Arnold was introduced late on to face his former club but was met by loud boos from the Liverpool fans. The full-back’s cameo was brief and no way near impacting the game as the Reds claimed all three points.
For Madrid, it was another frustrating trip to England as Bradley surprisingly got the better of Vinicius Junior. Liverpool, on the other hand, look to be finding their rhythm again after a series of bad games, confident, composed, and clinical when it mattered most.
