The 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco flipped the script, ditching the traditional East vs. West face-off for an electrifying four-team showdown. Hosted at the iconic Chase Center, the event was jam-packed with high-stakes games, dazzling performances, and unforgettable moments.

Main Event

This year’s game featured teams handpicked by NBA legends Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith, plus a fourth squad led by Candace Parker, made up of the Rising Stars Challenge winners. Each game was played to 40 points, turning up the intensity from start to finish.

In the semifinals, Team Shaq’s OGs powered through Team Candace’s Rising Stars with a 42-35 victory, while Team Chuck’s Global Stars triumphed over Team Kenny’s Young Stars 41-32. The grand finale saw Team Shaq dominate Team Chuck 41-25, with Stephen Curry stealing the show with 20 points and 10 rebounds, earning him All-Star MVP on his home turf.

Slam Dunk & Three-Point Contests

Saturday night saw some of the NBA’s finest battling it out in the Slam Dunk and Three-Point contests. Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat lit it up, securing the Three-Point Contest title with pinpoint shooting. Meanwhile, Mac McClung etched his name into All-Star history with a three-peat in the Slam Dunk Contest, pulling off gravity-defying dunks that had fans on their feet.

Halftime Performances

Bay Area pride was on full display during the halftime show. DJ Cassidy’s “Pass The Mic Live” brought down the house with performances from E-40, Too Short, Saweetie, and En Vogue, electrifying the crowd with a mix of legendary sounds and a deep dive into the Bay’s cultural richness.
