Liverpool had to come from behind to keep their six-point lead at the top of the Premier League, drawing 1-1 with surprise challengers Nottingham Forest. Forest, aiming for a seventh straight win for the first time since 1922, took the lead early when Chris Wood scored from Anthony Elanga’s pass in the 8th minute.

Forest held on well as they tried to beat Liverpool again, but Liverpool’s substitutes made a big difference. Diogo Jota scored just 22 seconds after coming on, heading in a corner from Kostas Tsimikas. Jota then had a couple of chances, forcing two great saves from Forest’s goalkeeper, Matz Sels. Mohamed Salah also saw a shot blocked off the line as Liverpool dominated the second half. Despite the draw, Forest stayed in second place, showing they can keep up their good form.

In another exciting game, Manchester City’s run of form took a hit as they drew 2-2 with Brentford after leading 2-0. Phil Foden scored twice for City, but Brentford fought back with Yoane Wissa pulling one back, and captain Christian Norgaard scoring a late header to level the game in the 92nd minute. Brentford nearly won when Nathan Ake cleared a shot off the line in injury time. Wissa’s goal also made him Brentford’s new top scorer in the Premier League.

Chelsea, missing several key players, managed to secure a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth thanks to Reece James’ stoppage-time free-kick. Chelsea took the lead with a goal from Cole Palmer in the 13th minute. Bournemouth equalized from a penalty by Justin Kluivert, and then took the lead with a great strike from Antoine Semenyo. But James’ last-minute free-kick earned Chelsea a point. Chelsea are still in fourth place, 10 points behind leaders Liverpool, while Bournemouth are in seventh, just three points behind Chelsea.

Graham Potter got his first win as West Ham’s head coach with a 3-2 victory over Fulham. West Ham, after a slow start, took control with goals from Carlos Soler and Tomas Soucek in quick succession. Fulham fought back with goals from Raul Jimenez and Alex Iwobi, but West Ham regained the lead thanks to Lucas Paqueta, following a mistake from Fulham’s goalkeeper. West Ham moved up to 12th, 10 points clear of the relegation zone, while Fulham dropped to ninth after their unbeaten run ended.
