At just 15, Nigerian artist Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke has rewritten history, one brushstroke at a time. His breathtaking artwork, Impossibility is a Myth, now holds the Guinness World Record for the largest art canvas ever created by an individual. Spanning an astonishing 12,303.87 square meters.

Unveiled on April 2, 2025, at Abuja’s Eagle Square, the monumental painting arrived on a day filled with significance, World Autism Awareness Day. Kanyeyachukwu, who lives with autism, didn’t just create art; he used it to spotlight inclusion, talent, and the boundless nature of creativity. With each brushstroke, he defied stereotypes, proving that artistic expression knows no limits.

His achievement shattered the previous record by nearly 3,000 square meters, marking a bold new milestone in the art world. Yet, beyond the numbers, the true impact lies in the message, autism is not a limitation, and creativity has no boundaries.

Kanyeyachukwu’s work is deeply personal and powerfully symbolic. His choice of colors and themes reflects a vibrant perspective, inviting the world to see art through a different lens. Over the years, his paintings have gained international recognition, with exhibitions celebrating his unique talent. But this latest achievement solidifies his place not just in art history but in the movement for greater awareness and acceptance of neurodivergent talents.

By setting this world record, Kanyeyachukwu has done more than earn a title, he’s sparked a conversation about possibility, perseverance, and the transformative power of art. His journey is an inspiration, showing young artists and individuals with autism that they, too, can break barriers and redefine expectations.

With Impossibility is a Myth, Kanyeyachukwu has proven that when creativity meets courage, there truly are no limits. The world is listening, and through his art, he’s making sure the message is heard loud and clear.
